One of the main objectives of the exchange was to gain experience in the organization of the activities and daily work of the science centre, getting ideas on how to implement these principles in the operation of VIZIUM as well. During the visit, representatives of the Ventspils Digital Centre had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new science centre and training facilities opened in 2023, as well as the current offer. The representatives of the digital centre practically tested several activities offered by "Vilvite" in order to get an idea of their educational and developing side and to evaluate offering similar content to the visitors of Ventspils science centre VIZIUM.
There was also an exchange of experience in organizing corporate events, concluding that the activities of the science centre "Vilvite" are similar to those offered in the Ventspils science centre, for example, "Vilvite" offers the activity "Vilvite challenge", which is similar to the activity "Scientific Olympic Games" offered by VIZIUM, where teams is a task to get to know the exhibition hall and exhibits by completing various attractive tasks and collecting points.
The activity is implemented within the framework of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism programme “Research and Education” 2014-2021 activity “Innovation Centres”, project “Foundation of an Innovation Centre in Ventspils”, identification number: NFI/IC/VIA/2020/1, number of the contract with State Education and Development Agency for the implementation of the project: 9.-20.2.2.1/2.
