VilVite, Bergen Science Centre

VilVite

Every year VilVite in Bergen is visited by 120 000 guests. That makes VilVite one of the largest science centres in Scandinavia.

Our visitors are mainly families, youths, and schools. At VilVite everyone is welcome to explore science and technology in a safe and engaging way. We are also visited by businesses and corporations for team buildings, workshops, and other events.

Our mission is to create a future where everyone is explorers and creators!

Our exhibition:

Our main attraction is our large exhibition filled with interactive exhibits. In the exhibition, our visitors can explore the themes:

• Earth and climate
• Energy
• Ocean and water
• Informatics and technology

Owners and financing

VilVite is mainly owned by public and regional owners, who annually contribute to the running. VilVite is also one of 13 Norwegian science centres receiving grants from the Norwegian Research Council, through the regional science centre scheme.
