Clear quartz, unpolished

Rock crystal is a completely clear variant of quartz, which looks like small pieces of ice or glass, but is a real mineral made by nature. Unpolished rock crystals show off their natural shape with pointed ends and shiny surfaces - just as they grow inside the earth's deep cavities. This beautiful crystal is made of silicon dioxide, the same substance used to make glass and even computer chips. Rock crystals form over millions of years, when mineral-rich water slowly crystallizes in rock crevices.
