Trilobites are fascinating fossils from a bygone era. These creatures lived in the oceans between 500 and 250 million years ago and belong to the group of arthropods, which also includes today's crustaceans and insects. The trilobites' hard shells made them well suited to being preserved as fossils, and today we find them as little pieces of history in stone.
