Aventurine, green
Green aventurine is known for its sparkling surface and warm, natural color, which makes this stone both beautiful and unique. The polished finish highlights the aventurine's characteristic shine, which is due to small mineral inclusions of e.g. mica or hematite, known as "aventurinization." This stone is a variant of quartz and can be found in various shades of green, from light lime to deep emerald. Typical sites include India, Brazil and Russia. Aventurine is often associated with nature and growth, and its name derives from the Italian word a ventura, meaning "by chance," a reference to its sparkling effect.
