What characterizes students with high learning potential, and how to adapt science education to this group of students? Talents on the Rise is written for students in primary school teacher education, associate professor education and PPU/FPPU, teacher educators and science teachers in primary and upper secondary schools. In the book, the authors provide concrete examples of how teachers and student teachers can challenge students with high learning potential in science. The examples are linked to the science curriculum from grade 5. The book is research-based and peer-reviewed. The book is divided into two parts. Chapters 1-3 deal with what research says about students with high learning potential: What characterizes the student group and why do these students need adapted education? Chapters 4-7 contain a number of tasks that can be used in science education. In addition to rich tasks and programming tasks, these tasks are designed to provide exploratory and practical work.
